Ashley Tisdale’s first glimpse of baby Emerson just bopped to the top of social media feeds.
Nearly one month after the High School Musicalalum welcomed her and Christopher Caldwellhusband Christopher French’s second daughter, she gave insight into life as a mom of two, sharing first looks at Emerson’s face as well as sweet bonding moments with sister Jupiter, 3.
“Emerson you are everything,” Ashley captioned her Oct. 4 Instagram post. “Can’t believe it’s already been a month. Trying to hold on to every moment.”
In the pictures, the 39-year-old snuggled Emerson during a nap, Jupiter held her little sister and kissed her on the forehead and Christopher lovingly gazed at the 1-month-old while she rested in his and Jupiter’s lap.
If the adorable photos weren’t clear, she previously shared she, Christopher and Jupiter are “so in love” with the newest addition to their family.
“Emerson is just the sweetest baby and Juju is really into being a big sister,” Ashley wrote in a Sept. 20 essay for her company Frenshe. “Chris is, as always, an amazing dad and the best husband. This moment feels so sweet for us.”
But while the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum is elated with motherhood, she has also been candid about the difficulties of her pregnancy journey.
“I’m really open about the fact that after having Jupiter, I suffered from postpartum depression (PPD),” Ashley continued. “Obviously I loved Jupiter from her first breath, but something just wasn’t clicking for me as a new mom. I had expected to feel certain things as a new mother, but I didn’t. Instead, I spent a lot of time feeling sad and anxious—and guilty about feeling that way.”
After rising above the difficult experience following her first pregnancy, the Phineas and Ferb actress detailed the fear she had as Emerson’s due date approached.
“When I got pregnant, I was so excited—but nervous, too,” Ashley explained. “But I was fortunate. When I first looked into Emerson’s eyes, I immediately had the connection I’d dreamed of. I feel like my normal self, and I feel 100 percent connected with my daughters.”
As for now, she’s taking the time to be in the moment with her family of four.
“I really love what our family looks like now,” Ashley shared. “I never imagined that my heart could feel this full, and I’m so glad it does.”
